Social Responsibility

ANTON'S LANE has a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility.  That is why the cotton used throughout the collection is 100% fair trade certified organic cotton.  It has been grown using sustainable and traditional practices that have a low impact on the environment with no chemicals or heavy metals used in its growing, processing or dyeing.  All ANTON'S LANE cotton (and its production) has been certified under the Global Organic Textile Standard & Oekotex Standard.

ANTON'S LANE selectively chooses manufacturers who share a similar ethical stance on the protection of human rights, the importance of fair trade, and the sustainability of the environment.  Each manufacturer has been certified under SA800 (Social Accountability, ISO 9001), which is the most widely recognized global standard for managing human rights in the workplace.

Each set of wall art is printed on eco-friendly paper (i.e. using 35% recycled paper and sustainable forests, chlorine free, with 92% of the power used in its production from renewable and hydroelectric wind farm power).  All marketing materials are also printed on recycled paper.

Considerable thought was also given to reducing the impact packaging has on the environment.  As such, each bedding set is packaged in re-usable organic cotton draw string bags, and each set of wall art is packaging in biodegradable cellophane bags.

ANTON'S LANE also pledges to donate a percentage of all profits to a children's charity of choice.  In helping mankind and the environment ANTON'S LANE hopes to inspire the world's children to dream up big dreams that will help shape our future!
